AbanCart ("AbanCart", "we", "us", "our") operates the AbanCart browser extension, the AbanCart web platform at abancart.com, and associated services. We help shoppers save and revisit their shopping carts, and help retailers recover abandoned carts through WhatsApp-based conversations.

2. What Data We Collect
2.1 Extension users (shoppers)

2.2 Business customers (brands)
If you represent a brand using AbanCart's recovery platform, we collect your business name, contact email, WhatsApp Business credentials, and conversation data generated through the platform.
2.3 Website visitors
When you visit abancart.com, we collect anonymised page-view data (page visited, referrer, country, approximate city) to understand how our site is used. This data is not linked to any individual.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Providing the service: Saving your carts, sending you your personal cart-view link, enabling you to restore carts.
- WhatsApp cart recovery messages: If you have opted in and a brand you've shopped with is a partner, we may send you a WhatsApp message about your saved cart on that brand's behalf. You control this at all times via the extension Settings.
- Security: Detecting abuse, verifying sign-in sessions.
- Improving the product: Aggregate, anonymised usage analytics (only if you've consented in the extension).
- Business development: We may share aggregate, anonymised statistics (e.g. "340 carts saved from store X this month") with retailers as part of our sales process. No personal data is included in these statistics.
4. WhatsApp Messages — Opt-In and Opt-Out
We only send WhatsApp messages to shoppers who have explicitly opted in through the AbanCart extension or a brand's own opt-in flow. Messages are sent on behalf of the specific brand whose store you shopped at.
You can opt out at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any WhatsApp message from us
- Toggling off "Marketing updates" in the AbanCart extension Settings
- Emailing privacy@abancart.com
5. How We Share Your Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We may share data with:
- Service providers who help us operate (e.g. cloud hosting, WhatsApp Business API provider). They process data only on our instructions.
- Partner brands — only in the form of WhatsApp messages sent on their behalf. The brand does not receive your phone number or email directly from us.
- Law enforcement where required by applicable law.
